SONIC Summer Movies Are Here

Myriad Botanical Gardens’ free Sonic Summer Movie Night series is back! Bring your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy offerings from a variety of local food trucks and vendors. Movies begin at sundown. This year the movies will be screened at Scissortail Park’s great lawn to allow for better social distancing due to COVID-19. Dates are Wednesdays, July 1, July 8, July 15, July 22, July 29, August 5; 8-11 pm. The movies are free and check the website and social media for food truck lineups and entertainment.

Emmet (Chris Pratt), an ordinary LEGO figurine who always follows the rules, is mistakenly identified as the Special — an extraordinary being and the key to saving the world. He finds himself drafted into a fellowship of strangers who are on a mission to stop an evil tyrant’s (Will Ferrell) plans to conquer the world. Unfortunately for Emmet, he is hopelessly — and hilariously — unprepared for such a task, but he’ll give it his all nonetheless.

There, he meets several friends who become his closest allies and help him discover the truth about his parents’ mysterious deaths.
