For more than 30 years, Myriad Botanical Gardens has provided beautiful gardens and green space in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. From dazzling spring bulbs displays to radiant prairie flowers and holiday lights, tens of thousands of people come to the Gardens to celebrate every season with family and friends.
Our year-round free or low-cost educational programs, quality events, and Mo’s Carousel further make the Gardens a unique and vibrant space for all to enjoy.
This year, more than at any other time in our history, the Gardens served as a safe and uplifting outdoor space to get out and walk, exercise, play or relax. For many, the Gardens were a place to find peace and solace from the anxiety, sadness, and challenges that we all continue to experience this year.
It has been challenging. Like many nonprofits, the Gardens lost considerable revenues in 2020 as we had to cancel many programs and events including our spring festival, movie nights, concerts, annual horticultural symposium, and school field trips. Two essential fundraising events we rely on for funding our expenses were also canceled.
In addition, the recent ice storm resulted in unanticipated clean-up expenses and replacement costs for trees that were lost.
While we are here for you, we ask you to be here for us with a gift of support. A gift of any size to our Annual Garden Fund would make a big difference this year. The Annual Garden Fund provides income to cover operating and maintenance costs of our gardens, grounds, Crystal Bridge Conservatory, and community programs.
The donation you give today will help us plant bulbs you will enjoy in the spring. It will help us plant new trees and more native prairie plants to enjoy next summer.
Your donation will help us maintain Mo’s Carousel, our Thunder Fountain that children cool off in on hot summer days, offer plant and garden festivals, concerts, outdoor art exhibits and free family and school programs so the Gardens are accessible to all.
Thank you in advance for supporting the Gardens.
