Bringing Books to Life – Children’s Garden Festival

Tiny Homes and Enchanted Woods

  • Friday, June 11 through Sunday, June 20, daily 10am – 5pm
  • Children’s Garden at Myriad Botanical Gardens
  • Member FREE; Nonmember $8 (includes FREE rides on Mo’s Carousel)
  • Special opening day hours for members only

Join us in the Children’s Garden for 10 days of activities, crafts and creative displays inspired by a selection of books featuring tiny people and magical creatures.

Maybe Thumbelina will stop by for a visit. Or, you might catch a glimpse of the Borrowers. Could that be Hilda and the Troll on the Reading Porch?

Enchanting vignettes will be created by local artists Jessica Petreus, Nick Bayer, Clarissa Sharp and others to be named.

The 2021 theme, Tiny Gardens and Enchanted Woods, highlights a variety of books that will appeal to a wide range of ages. Some stories will be familiar. Others perhaps not. Selected titles include Unicorns are the Worst, Hilda and the Hidden People, Thumbelina, The Borrowers, Backyard Fairies, and more.
