Instructions for Creating Drone Flight Permits
Flights may only occur from 7:30-8: 30 am. FAA prohibits flights before sunrise or after sunset. The Devon Lawn is the only location we allow drones to be flown. Flights have to be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance so we can ensure we have a Myriad Gardens ambassador onsite working for scheduled drone flight.
To schedule, contact:
Drone flyers must fill out the Drone Flight Permit. If there is more than one flyer, we need the names of all additional participants. Please list these under “Participant(s) Flying.” Have the group lead sign/date the bottom of page 2. Payment must be made at the time the permit is signed and returned.
- Great Lawn 7:30 am-8: 30 am (2 participants only), $50
- Great Lawn 7:30 am-8:30 am (3-10participants), $100
ONLY 2 DRONES MAY FLY SIMULTANEOUSLY.
Only up to 10 participants in a group permitted at any given time. Group still must adhere to the rule of only flying 2 drones simultaneously. If inclement weather permits a scheduled group from flying their drones, the flight may be rescheduled. A refund for the permit will not be issued. Flights may not take place when precipitation is falling when winds exceed 15mph or gusts exceed 20mph. Flights may not be flown over a visitor’s head. Failure to comply with any of the Gardens flight rules/regulations will result in a Myriad Gardens ambassador ending the flight early.
