#GivingTuesdayNow May 5

Join us for #GivingTuesdayNow on May 5

Originally conceived by nonprofits around the world as an antidote to the pre-holiday shopping extravaganzas of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is traditionally held on the immediate Tuesday afterward.

Now, as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19, #GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that is taking place on May 5, 2020.

In these anxious and uncertain days, Myriad Botanical Gardens provides an urban oasis to enjoy beautiful spring flowers, fresh air, bird songs and more to find some respite from the news of the day.

During the shelter-in-place guidelines, we have created new digital outreach programs for children to learn about plants and gardening. We distributed 2,500 Garden in Place Seeds Kits to our members and the public for kids and their families to use to start a back yard garden.  Our popular wellness program, Botanical Balance, is currently available online as well.

We understand there are many demands now for support as we, like many organizations, have had to close our revenue-generating operations, including the Crystal Bridge Conservatory, our Spring Festivals, plant sales, rentals, classes, and fundraising events.

If you are able to support the Gardens with a donation, of any amount, during #GivingTuesdayNow, no matter the size, this vital support will help us maintain our gardens and grounds in the weeks and months to come. Visit here.

Thank you for your consideration!

A note from Megan Cascindria

I’ve been taking my two-year-old to play there (Myriad Botanical Gardens) during this time and we have enjoyed your beautiful grounds.  I’ve got a few sprouts from the salsa seed kit you gave as a gift! We appreciate how hard you’ve worked to keep our spirits up. It hasn’t gone unnoticed or unappreciated. We are new to OKC, and your gardens have given us a much-needed sense of peace during this ordeal.  We were just there today, and she loved playing by your water feature. That’s dirt on her face, by the way. One of your associates gave her a tulip bulb after the blooms fell and she “kissed” it, resulting in the dirt all over her face lol. I plan to buy a membership the day you open up. Thank you.
