Get to Know Our Buffalo Grass
- Friday, 12 – 12:30pm
- Saturday 11am
We’ve just added a special stand of buffalo grass, a native Oklahoma grass that not only looks great, but is low maintenance to boot! This grass only needs mowing about once a season and grows deep roots so that once it’s established, it needs much less water than your average lawn. Join our horticulturists for a lunchtime talk on Friday or after our Gardens Walking Tour on Saturday to hear about this grass as well as some other prairie grass favorites.
Gardens Walking Tour
- Saturdays, July 29, August 26, September 30, 10am
- Last Saturday of Every Month
- South Lobby and Garden Grounds
- Walkups Welcome
Join us to expand your Oklahoma plant knowledge and get great ideas for your yard. Each month changes as the plants grow through the seasons; in July we’ll discuss plants for water conservation. Can’t make it for the guided tour? Pick up a self-guided handout in our South Lobby.
