While many early explorers of tropical forests hunted for gold, since the 1800’s some explorers have been searching for a different treasure of a botanical kind. This year’s Orchid Show will celebrate the orchid’s ability to ignite a passion in people. A passion that may inspire some to go to great lengths to acquire and grow a vast collection of orchids and possess other brave, if not obsessive, individuals to risk life and limb in search of the most beautiful and exotic of flowers. Discover the allure of these tropical treasures as you marvel at over 1,000 individual orchids adorning the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory like crown jewels.
