Outdoor Dining Series—Farm to Table Dinner from Chefs Kamala Gamble and Barbara Mock

Join us at the Meinders Terrace for an intimate dinner under the stars. Chefs Kamala Gamble and Barbara Mock from Kam’s Kookery are bringing fresh ingredients from Guilford Gardens straight to your dinner table. Limited seating is available; please register by Thursday, September 14.

Bread Baking for Kids with Whole Foods Market

This wonderful hands-on class is just what you knead to create delicious bread to enjoy. Kids will also learn how to incorporate fresh herbs into bread. Come learn helpful tips and be guided through each step in creating your own bread dough. Kids will take home dough for 3 loaves- enough to bake and share with friends and family.

Bent Willow Furniture Class for Absolute Beginners

You’ll never look at a stick the same again. Learn to turn branches into family heirlooms. Join Master Furniture Builder Bim Willow as he teaches you to mold and bend fresh willow into beautiful, long lasting furniture. Come with a hammer and pruning shears and leave with a finished project using the techniques of this historical American craft. Project options:

Backyard Chicken Workshop

“Grow” your own fresh eggs. Join Lori Coats, chicken expert and gardener, as she discusses the ins and outs of raising chickens. Lori will go over the challenges and benefits of life with chickens, offer tips for raising them from eggs to hens and bring one along for a close-up experience.

Did you know that you can make a stunning flower arrangement that you can also munch on? In this interactive class, we’ll guide kids and families through the fun and easy steps of making an arrangement to be proud of. We’ll start with a hunt through our Gardens to pick a few flowers to use in our arrangements along with some beautiful (and yummy!) fruits and vegetables. Families are welcome to work on an arrangement together.

Join the Myriad Gardens, Downtown OKC, and lululemon for a week of community & yoga at participating OKC Metro area yoga studios. Enjoy $5 yoga classes at local area studios September 18-23, with a morning of free outdoor yoga on September 24th at the Myriad Gardens. Shakespeare’s dark tale of power, murder and vengeance is regarded by many as the most influential work ever written for the stage. This richly complex tragedy unfolds as the young prince of Denmark swears to avenge the untimely death of his beloved father and pulls his country into a maelstrom of madness and murder.

Wiggle Out Loud

It’s nearly time to wop, bop, boom and boogie again at the fifth annual Wiggle Out Loud – Oklahoma City’s FREE, active-family outdoor music festival presented by The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center and benefiting The Children’s Hospital Volunteers. The festival returns this year from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 17 at The Myriad Botanical Gardens Great Lawn, 301 W Reno Ave. Featured bands this year include folk songstress Sarah Lee Guthrie and EMMY and Latin Grammy nominee Lucky Diaz. Festival favorites back again this year include “kindie” superstars, Sugar Free Allstars, as well as Lucas RossALEGRIA REAL and Adam & Kizzie.
