Children’s Garden Festival inspired by A.A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh

Join us as we transform the Children’s Garden into Christopher Robin’s 100 Acre Wood. The Children’s Garden will come to life with our favorite characters Pooh, Piglet and Tigger. Enjoy crafts, activities and imaginative displays that will capture the essence of one of the most beloved children’s stories.

Please note the Children’s Garden & Thunder Fountain will be closed Monday, June 4 to Thursday, June 7 and will re-open with admission Friday, June 8 to Sunday, June 17.  The Children’s Garden and THUNDER FOUNTAIN will reopen for FREE on Wednesday, June 20.

Rabbit’s Flower Garden Pop Ins with Children’s Garden Manager Abby Curry

Join us for an afternoon of garden fun and help Rabbit plant his flower pots! Children will be able to decorate a pot and plant it with a flower of their own to take home.

Mommy and Me Mondays and Tiny Tot Tuesdays

  • Best for ages 0-5

Join us for a morning of fun with the little ones. Guests can enjoy story and music on the Children’s Garden Porch. This will be a time geared toward ages 0 to 5 with no outside school groups or daycare booked visits during these hours.

Homeschool Thursday

Join us on a day geared for homeschool families at the Children’s Garden Festival. Discounted rates will be offered to groups of five or more people.

It’ll be a hopping good time as kids learn about all the veggies Rabbit grows in his garden. Participants will play games and read books, learning about the veggies in Rabbit’s garden and how they grow. Each child will get to create a garden craft to take home.

Berry Class with Pati Colston

Come and learn about the important roll honeybees have in the pollination process of strawberry plants from Pati Colston, owner of Agape House Berry Farm. Pati and her husband raise 16,000 strawberry plants and are eager to share with children the importance of these special pollinators. Kids will have the opportunity to make their own balloon “honeybee” during craft time and “pollinate” strawberry plants.

Book Sale with the Friends of the Metropolitan Library System

The Friends of the Library will  be bringing both gardening and children’s books.  The books will be individually priced, but most will be from $2 to $5 each which is quite a deal for either one!  They will be accepting cash and checks, but no credit cards. 

An Evening in the Hundred Acre Wood

Come to Winnie the Pooh after hours to explore the Children’s Garden as the sunsets in the background. There will be games, activities and treats. Our friends Pooh and Tigger will be onsite for photos. All guests are encouraged to dress as their favorite character to get in the spirit. Throughout the evening will be playing The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh short stories on the Children’s Garden porch for everyone to enjoy. Guests will also be able to use the Thunder Fountain after regular festival hours. Treats provided by Rocket Fizz Soda Pop and Candy Shops Edmond.

Father’s Day at Winnie the Pooh

Come celebrate your Father at the Gardens and enjoy Winnie the Pooh—Dad’s receive FREE admission for this Sunday, June 17 ONLY. Kids can create a Father’s Day craft for their special guy to commemorate the day.
