Visit the Park House website here! The Park House  is open for lunch and dinner daily! It officially opened on December 18, and serves American contemporary food. The views are stunning and the food is receiving rave reviews. Cocktails at the bar after work are downtown’s newest must-do. Stop in for a  Thunder-Rita and some Chicken and Waffle Nachos before a Thunder game, or plan a romantic dinner for two.Valet parking is offered in the evenings for $10 per car. The Ice House is now open through October!

The Ice House opened last October, and served authentic Nic’s burgers, along with fries and shakes. It will be open eight months per year, March through October, and will close during skating season. Nic’s, Oklahoma City’s favorite burger joint, has been featured on Food Network’s “Diners, Drive Ins and Dives,” and Slice Magazine’s ‘Bodacious Burgers’ feature. Visit their website here.

Myriad Gardens Foundation Partners with Peter and Sheree Holloway: Two Restaurants Slated to Open in Gardens

Oklahoma City restaurateurs Peter and Sheree Holloway and their team will operate two restaurants in the Myriad Botanical Gardens beginning later this summer, announced Myriad Gardens Foundation Chairman Emeritus James R. Tolbert III.

“We are very pleased to make this announcement. After a thoughtful process, we found a proprietor in Peter Holloway who understands the complexities of operating in this space and whose experience, expertise and creativity will ensure that our restaurants will be terrific additions to downtown and will serve our many audiences,” said Tolbert.

The two restaurants are the Park House, located in the restaurant building, and the Ice House, located in the smaller building just north of the Park House. The Ice House will opened in October, and served authentic Nic’s burgers, along with fries and shakes. It will be open eight months per year, and will close during skating season. Nic’s, Oklahoma City’s favorite burger joint, has been featured on Food Network’s “Diners, Drive Ins and Dives,” and the current issue of Slice Magazine’s ‘Bodacious Burgers’ feature.

The Park House will open in December, and will serve a variety of lunch and dinner items, and will have a full bar. Menus, interior design and build-out of the spaces are currently underway. Project architect is Elliott+Associates and general contractor will be Stacy Witter & Associates, Inc.

Peter Holloway, whose restaurant group now includes Edmond restaurants Boulevard Steakhouse, Café 501 and the Martini Lounge, as well as the Classen Curve location of Café 501, has been a part of the restaurant scene in the state since college. He began his career at the Hungry Peddler and discovered he loved the restaurant business and the rest is history.

“The opportunity for offering a diverse experience in the Gardens is very exciting. From the BEST burgers and shakes at the Ice House to casual dining in The Park House, we couldn’t ask for a more unique setting!,” said Holloway.

Maureen Heffernan, executive director of the Myriad Gardens Foundation, has worked alongside Tolbert in searching for just the right restaurant for the unique setting that is the Myriad Botanical Gardens. “We really took the time we needed to think through all of the audiences a restaurant in our space has to serve in order to be successful. Among those are moms and kids stopping for a quick lunch, people conducting business lunches, diners out for an evening stroll, folks who stop in for a cocktail after work and fans attending Thunder games or other events. That’s a very broad cross-section with multiple needs, and Peter’s concepts meet all of them. We think the Park House and the Ice House will be wonderful additions to the amenities of the Gardens,” she said.
