The Café at Scissortail Park in downtown Oklahoma City, will serve as the primary food and beverage location in the park and will also serve as one of the main entrances into Scissortail Park along the new Oklahoma City Boulevard.

Scissortail Park Foundation is the 503(c)3 nonprofit organization that will be managing all operations and programming of the new Park. The Foundation is seeking proposals from local and regional food and beverage operations to take on the management and operation of the Park’s primary café located in the Upper Park.

The Café building and terrace is located on the highly visible location near the intersection of the new Oklahoma City Boulevard and Robinson Avenue and steps from the new Omni Convention Hotel, Oklahoma City Convention Center and Chesapeake Arena. The new OKC Streetcar stop is directly across the street from the Café with Embark bus stops nearby on Robinson Avenue.

The Café’s modern architecture features a ‘lantern or beacon’ vertical feature that makes the café a landmark for the park in the daytime and especially in the evening, when the ‘lantern’ provides a beautiful light feature in the park. One of the main entrances into the Park from the new Oklahoma Boulevard, will be through the Café’s west covered walkway.

The Café will be the only restaurant located on the grounds of Scissortail Park. The Café features indoor and outdoor seating that takes full advantage of beautiful views of the colorful terrace gardens and the café porch features a water feature for visitors to enjoy.

The building is fully air-conditioned and comes with a fully equipped, professional kitchen.

The selected operator may have the option to obtain a liquor license for the café and the entire park as well as become a preferred caterer for the Park’s events and private rentals.

With the right menu and branding, the Café has the potential to thrive as popular, casual downtown destination to enjoy while visiting the Park or nearby attractions.

The Foundation’s goal is to select an operator that can create a varied menu to serve a wide range of visitor demographics throughout the day and early evening. Attentive, customer-oriented service is a must and we seek a partner to provide consistency in hours and food and beverage quality.
